More fanciful than anything else, this one benefits a lot from the hype generated by its leading actor’s death.

This is a lazy and sloppy entry into an already sloppy series. Sigh.

Inept direction and a wooden lead actor make this adaptation far from magical.

As sequels go, this one is fine, as long as you’re okay with it not being as funny or fresh as the first movie.
