Monsters Ate My Homework is dedicated to kids that prefer to play computer games and hang out with like-minded friends instead of doing their homework.

Such kids, such as Evan Wanger, dare to disobey edicts from grownups and, worse, come up with fibs such as the one that gives this episode its title.

Because he is lazy and a liar, the righteous Crypt Keeper sees to it that Evan’s lies about monsters come true. Alas, these monsters don’t eat his homework, which would be fun and no fun is allowed in this show, and instead terrorize and scare him into falling in line and becoming a kid that will always be obedient and listen to grownups.

Sigh, do kids even like being lectured like this?

This episode has everything a crap episode in this series has: terrible voice acting that borders on monotone, filler scenes, and main characters that do not speak like kids at all — more like adults that try to pretend to be kids but have never met any in real life to get a hang of how kids sound like. It is not fun, probably by design as this season is certainly not designed to be entertaining, and not funny.

So, what’s the point of it at all? Maybe it’s just made so that whichever Ministry of Good Behavior types that are sponsoring this season get their money’s worth? It’s certainly not made to entertain anyone, that’s for sure.
