Night Shadow by Laura Renken
This is like a cartoon that isn’t aware that it is a cartoon.

This is like a cartoon that isn’t aware that it is a cartoon.

This one has so many secondary characters from other books that it’s like a pointless party with boring people.

The poor hero is wasted on such an ordinary story.

The implausibly stupid and oblivious heroine kills this one.

No matter what the plot is, all that matters is debating whether the heroine’s pure enough for love.

Single fatherhood stories, written without overblown and sentimental prose, can be so heartwarming to read.

The suspense is pretty good, but the bombastic tone and double standards can be a tough buy.

This one is just tragic. Its destiny is the clearance bin.

Oh look, another urban fantasy series, as if Anita Blake isn’t a handful already.
