The Dangerous Gentleman by Julia London
Ugh, can someone do me a favor and shoot the hero in his genitalia?

The story is solid, but the execution could be better.

The brats masquerading as the hero and the heroine are really obnoxious.

It is not exactly tantalizing, but it will do.

The characters’ chemistry makes this otherwise predictable tale most enjoyable.

Ugh, this is what happens when nitwits go wild.

The entire story is built around a groveling scene at the climax, and my god, what a magnificent life-changing grovel it is!

Sandra Bullock goes serious for once, and it’s a pretty good effort. The movie itself is preachy and hammy, though.

While admittedly well written, this is one story everyone has read many, many times before.

The characters are so much more entertaining when they are apart and writing letters to one another. Put them together, and meh happens.
