Sci-fi Erotica, 2015
In Vashti Valant’s Ruthless, it’s not enough that cyborgs are, well, cyborgs. They have to be Doms too! Well, if this particular Dom rips out his arm and whacks the heroine’s rump by using the wires dangling from the stump as a whip, I’m giving this five oogies.
Zethia’s real reason for attending this meeting to protect her secret friend, Kialle, from being publically molested by her father. Kialle was a cyborg soldier, and technically the Overlord’s bodyguard, but the Overlord also used her as a sexual toy when it suited him. There was nothing Zethia could do about that, as long as he kept his abuse confined to his private quarters. But when he was particularly aggrieved, he would go further, and use Kialle openly, and Zethia couldn’t bear for her friend to be publically humiliated. Zethia had noticed that when she was present, her father was less likely to abuse his bodyguard. It made Zethia wonder if he had at least enough parental affection to be embarrassed to rape a woman his daughter’s age right in front of her.
As you can tell, Zethia is a good friend. Her friend being raped by her father is perfectly okay as long as it’s behind closed doors, but heaven forbids that he decides to tweak a headlight or something in front of the people.
Before anyone asks, no, I didn’t change a word in the excerpt above, so any spelling mistake is the author’s doing. not mine. I make enough typos on my own, I don’t need to make them for other people!
So, Zethia sits in the latest public meeting of her father, mostly to persuade her father to keep the violent sodomy of her BFF in private. Ugh, the things the poor noble heroine has to do to enforce good manners among the ruling class!
It is during this meeting that her father has a general executed before promoting Marden the Battleborg in the replace so-called traitor. Ah, but Marden is a real traitor, as he is part of a secret coalition to overthrow the cruel Overlord.
However, his plans come to a halt when Zethia decides that she wants Marden inside her garden, but he refuses, so our heroine accuses him of sexually assaulting her.
This leads to Marden to be thrown into the Cube. What’s that, you ask?
The Cube was designed to hold a man in place, spread-eagled and tilted back at a slight angle. Marden glared as he was shifted into position, the bonds at his ankles and wrists pulling tight. His cock hung limply against his thigh, but Zethia knew it wouldn’t stay that way for long.
Once he was completely secure, the Cube entered its second phase. A small rod appeared, perhaps five inches long and slid, without any preparation, into Marden’s ass. Zethia knew that once in place, it would start directing tiny, targeted electrical pulses at his prostate. The purpose was the give whoever was strapped into the Cube an uncontrollable erection.
Marden’s face betrayed nothing but his cock soon grew hard. Zethia’s breath hissed when she saw how big he was. He’d been impressive enough when soft, but his true size was awe-inspiring. She couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like to ride such a huge cock. Many of the women in the room tittered and the sounds of conversation grew louder. People had started taking bets on when Marden would begin begging for release.
Have I mentioned that Zethia is the heroine of this story?
Zethia bit back her guilty admission that sexually humiliating him in public was more than enough punishment, considering all he had done was refuse her command to pleasure her, and then, out of shame, she had hidden the true events and instead accused him of trying to force her. Of course it would look strange that she did not want him tortured to death. That was the Avant way of dealing with demi-human transgressions against their exalted persons. An Avant, a Puregene, felt neither guilt nor shame…so why was she writhing inside with worry about what her father would do to Marden?
Now I have a good idea why bloody revolutions against the upper class is such a favorite past time of the lower classes.
Anyway, a coup does happen later and now Zethia gets a taste of her own medicine. Of course, the author for some reason doesn’t want me to see the vile little dingbat get what she deserves, so instead Marden keeps coddling the repulsive pus bucket and sparing her from being held too accountable for the fact that she ruined his life just because he didn’t want to sleep with her, had him broken and humiliated publicly, and then made into her sex slave. I mean, hey, what’s a little bit of oopsie between true loves, eh?
Still, she still makes his pee-pee hard, so he shags her, and this story ends on a cliffhanger: he tries to explain to her why he has to execute her vile despot of a father, and she rails at him for bullying an old man.
Oh great, so there are more stories to come in this series.
Given how little character development Zethia gets here, and how much of a one-note cruel imbecile she is for the most part, and yet, how Marden keeps acting like she’s some kind of misunderstood belle whose faults were all due to her father not hugging her enough, I can tell that I won’t likely get any satisfactory and believable character arc in this series. The hate sex parts aren’t even that hot, because Marden is completely whipped by Zethia’s hoo-hah.
Mind you, the sexy moments have a campy quality to them that makes me laugh, even if that’s probably not the author’s intention in the first place, and some of these scenes are pretty imaginative too. It’s a shame that what could have been a fun campy erotica is wasted on two characters that appear to be too dumb and vile for me to care about.
So, I’ll just quit my trip to this planet. When’s the next rocket ship that will take me to a better, happier place?
