What is this? No, really, what is this?
Playtime: Fulfillment is not based on a game as much as it is an advertisement for… I don’t know. Helldivers is referenced here, and so is rebooted God of War, so I guess Sony must have taken the budget “advertise two games for the price of one short episode” offer for this one.
Basically, we have an irritating courier, O, that goes around being annoying and a menace in traffic but that’s okay, because I’m supposed to see her as some strong sassy black girlboss or something. She does a few twirls on her bike, utters some sassy lies, meets some characters from the abovementioned games, and that’s it.
The whole thing is an advertisement for Sony’s PlayStation games, in other words, but it’s not a good one as it just zips by without leaving much of an impression.
Sony should ask for a refund. Then again, this is the studio that paid for a much longer episode to advertise Concord, so maybe it thinks that it has spent its money well.
Anyway, thus ends the first season of Secret Level, and boy, with more misses than hits and those misses redeemed solely by being pretty, this is one lackluster advertisement campaign!
