This one illustrates the danger of making things too easy for the heroine: it’s easy for me to stop caring too.
If you want a wholesome time of oohs and aahs, come on in. If you want compelling drama, well, keep going.
The plot of this story is basically the hero pointing at the heroine and screeching, “NO U KILLED KENNY!!!!”
It looks like helplessness is now a virtue when you’re a romance heroine.
I like the author’s technique, I like the heroine, and… oh my god, someone please delouse the hero.
Maybe things are a little too prim here, too tidy and convenient for everyone.
