Wow, Lauren Hutton is a terrible actor, if I were to judge by her performance in Riding the Nightmare. She overreacts to everything, while running around with this manic facial expression that makes her look more like a hungry cannibal than anything else.

There is some unintentional comedy from all of this in the first 10 minutes or so, but after that, this episode feels more like a public humiliation of the poor darling, and I can only cringe on her behalf throughout the rest of the episode.

Ms Hutton is Tess, a successful career woman, which means on a show like this that Tess is also a ruthless, cold bitch, Shocker, she’s shagging her sister’s husband.

However, she is also plagued by nightmares of a white horse galloping around the grasses in front of a big building that looks suspiciously like one also used in some previous episodes.

I think it’s a nightmare because Tess wakes up all looking worried and scared, although with Ms Hutton playing the role, Tess just looks like she wants to eat human flesh far more than usual.

After plenty of boring talking among boring people, all in the same limited locations because each episode now has a budget of a few hundred dollars, she dreams that she falls off the horse and is… trampled, I think. It’s hard to say, because the show has this bright idea of blurring the scene to a disorienting degree to create some hilariously bad “scary” effect, and I can’t tell what is happening in such a scene.

So yes, in the dream she dies, and in real, she somehow also dies. Something, something about witchcraft, the end.

Maybe Tess should have just eaten the horse the first time it appears in her nightmares?

Whatever, who cares. The whole thing is as dumb as it appears to be.
