Okazaki Shinichi did Furyou Mesu Ochi under the name N back in those days, and since there is another author called N whose works were reviewed here, I’d use the former name to avoid confusion.

This is a high school story, and we all know in Japan, every high school is full of strapping eight-foot tall men with spiky hair that beat each other up like the natural kung-fu masters that they are.

The protagonist is Higa, the guy on the cover. He spends his school days beating up other aspiring Yakuza heroes, until his latest victim blurts that, compared to the great Fujinami, Higa is nothing.

Intrigued, our hero seeks out that Fujinami, who turns out to be another high school thug that has been waiting for Higa to find him.

Sadly, Higa soon realizes that, compared to Fujimami, he’s no Kazuma Kiryu. More like the comedic relief third sidekick of Ichiban Kasuga, really, as poor Higa is soon battered and bruised on the floor without putting up much of a good fight.

Of course, since this is a naughty story, the consequence of Higa’s defeat is getting pounded in his rear end by Fujinami.

However, this sets off a chain of events in which both of these guys realize that they enjoy the whole fighting and raping routine of theirs way too much.

Okay, I should point out that my edition is censored, as per wholesome Japanese laws, so there are no pee-pees and penetrations here, just a glowing white-out over the naughty parts. Yes, this is another one of those things where it looks like the guys have glowing light sabers instead of pee-pees. and I have to admit that the effect is more comical than anything else.

On the bright side, oh my goodness.

Let’s start with the art. It’s gorgeous. Sure, the guys all look like stereotypical masculine hunks in this genre, but they are all hot, right down to their spiky hairdos and inexplicable fangs.

The fight scenes are painstakingly detailed with great sense of grace and motion, far more than anything in a smutty comic has the need to be. From the posturing to the positioning, these scenes are so much fun to follow.

Kapow!
Every high school kid in Japan is also a street fighter that dukes out on the streets of rage every day to be the king of fighters.

The sex here isn’t tender or passionate at first, as it’s a form of domination and even humiliation. However, Higa predictably realizes that he really likes being treated that way, and Fujinami becomes enamored of Higa’s determination to train and best him one day.

In one scene, Fujinami tells Higa, while they are doing their usual post-beat down shag, that should Higa defeat him, they won’t be doing this anymore.

Higa scoffs and says that when he defeats Fujinami, then he would do to the latter the same thing that he did to Higa. Until then, he doesn’t care—Fujinami is the only one that can defeat him, so it excites him to be dominated by that other fellow in this manner.

Naturally, Fujinami laughs in delight, because by this time, those two are in way too deep that they can’t even see what is happening to them both.

Earlier on, he has told Higa, “I like the way you react without thinking. You’re interesting—the perfect match for a mad man like me!”

Someone hold me, violent psychopaths in love can so, so sweet that my heart can’t take this!

The art aside, Furyou Mesu Och does great in the story department too. It does a wonderful job in showing how male machismo can slowly give way to mutual respect and even lust, all in a gloriously violent and deranged manner, of course.

Instead of kisses, it’s a slug in the face that gives rise to a bloody nose. Who cares about hugs and cuddles when they can smash their fist into the other’s stomach and slam their heel onto the other’s skull? When foreplay is over, it’s time for some wholesome rape with plenty of back and forth insults.

Ah, it’s all so heartwarming.

The last page just seals it. Higa monologues to me: “Every man desires to be the strongest there is. Now I know, that’s why I am attracted to him, who is so much stronger than me.”

Meanwhile, Higa is defeated again, and Fujinami is rambling about how he will shag Higa until the latter can’t walk straight.

Higa just looks up at him and tells him to shut up. “Hurry up and wreck me!” he snaps at Fujinami.

This is so hot.
