In Competitive Spirit, we learn that playing sneaky to win a competition is a no-no.
Vincent, the protagonist, decides to tell spooky stories to his skiing competition rival Tom to unnerve that brat and make sure he won’t be in the right mindset to beat Tom. Of course, the show decides that this is a terrible thing to do — as opposed to Tom toughening it up if some silly spook stories would throw him off-kilter — so the morality brigade ghosts and monsters are deployed to terrorize Vincent into behaving as per the acceptable code of conduct.
Seriously, no wonder the Generation X types are so messed up had they take shows like this way too seriously in their childhood. It will go a long way into explaining their sense of entitlement, demands that the authority beat someone with a different political view into submission or exile that person, and other nonsense that trickle down into the next few generations as well.
Anyway, there is nothing scary here, just really stupid and unfunny slapstick moments that will likely only entertain kids below ten, and many annoying filler scenes to pad out what would have been a three-minute PSA into something far longer.
Did I say the season seem to be getting better? Oops, that was likely a fluke as this show reverts to its bad habits soon enough!
