Fantasy Erotica, 2010
My goodness, there is more story here in Believe in Me than the author’s last three short stories put together. Perhaps this is because only two people are playing in bed this time around, heh.
It’s not that this is a memorable story. This one is a very short story, so all the usual limitations apply on the story line and the characters. In this one, we have two Guardian Angels going at it all day and night faster than you can say holy holy hallelujah.
Tori Chambers is stuck in Cedarville, Oregon for far longer than she’d have liked. While she’s done her best to steer her charge Mason Delacroix to his intended soulmate Celia Ocean, Celia’s Guardian Angel is not doing the same and as a result, the relationship is stalled. She is not too relieved when Celia gets a new Guardian Angel, however, because that angel turns out to the man from her past, Jericho. They have a complicated relationship, let’s just say.
The angels here get down to the action with such gusto that, were this real life, getting a religious experience would be number one on everyone’s priority list. The added bonus here is that, apart from the (of course) hot sex scenes, there are some decent attempts by the author to have her characters talk, communicate, and interact outside the bedroom. The result is an unexpectedly satisfying story.
