Really? This is what the third season of Tales from the Cryptkeeper has become?
All Booked Up isn’t even a story. It’s a forced, in your face PSA about how reading is fun and if you don’t love reading, the Cryptkeeper will sic the spooks on you until you have no choice but to say in a loop, like zombie, how much you love reading and you are so serious, so please, monsters, please don’t hurt you anymore.
Greg Davis is lazy and doesn’t like to read, so the Cryptkeeper leads him into being sucked into a book, where he encounters spookier versions of classic stories until he emerges completely converted into a fan of books.
Now, I ‘m all for more kids to read, but seriously, they need to make an entire episode about this? Did some secret ministry of good behavior sponsor this episode?
It’s a shame as this episode has some potential to be an enjoyable rollicking ride of a story, but it is all wasted to become a PSA that is just… eeuw.
