Hey, it’s Brad Dourif! What is he doing here, slumming on a show like this? Naturally, he can be relied upon to put on a good show, but whether this is a good show is an entirely different matter.
Sin Seer—I’m sure the fact that it rhymes with “sincere” is a coincidence—sees Mr Dourif’s character Mano working at a hospital morgue.
Appropriately enough, he has a gift of seeing one’s most hidden sins when he looks into their eyes—the go to excuse for this episode to show kinky scenes for it to qualify as “sexy”; these people aren’t even trying anymore to be subtle.
This episode is basically a long therapy session as Mano recounts his story to a psychiatrist.
While it’s very watchable thanks to Mr Dourif, it’s also a stretch as I’d have to accept that every person Mano encounters has an over the top Dear Penthouse episode to share with the audience of this episode. As I’ve mentioned, these people behind the show seem to have stopped caring and are just coming up with excuses to throw soft porn scenes into every episode.
The twist is ultimately a nothing burger anyway, as it’s not like Mano’s ability is going to save the world or anything like this. He’s basically a walking soft porn scene generator, so who cares?
As I’ve said, Mr Dourif makes this episode far watchable than it should be. He’s acting like this is some supernatural thriller, while the rest of the cast are mostly simulating fake bumps and grinds to fill up the screen time. Did he know what he had signed up for here, I wonder?
Anyway, three cheers for Mr Dourif, but this episode is meh all around unless one is here for for soft porn first and foremost and everything else is just background noise.
