We’re back in Room 104, and this time, it’s occupied by a married couple Scott and Jennifer.

The Pizza Boy in the title, Jarod, delivers a pizza to them, only for Scott to claim that he’s out of cash so he’s going to get it from the machine down the road. Left with Jennifer, poor Jarod is treated to her creepy kind of come on before Scott comes back and demands to know:

Did you deliver the meat lovers to my wife on that bed?

Okay, they are clearly a weird couple that are into a freaky kind of swinging or they pick up and murder people for fun. Will poor Jarod leave their room with every bit of him still intact?

Now, this is an episode of an anthology series. That means there is very likely some kind of twist, and in this particular premise… well, let’s just say that I guess almost immediately what that twist, heh.

It’s not that I am a genius. There is only a small number of possible twists with such a premise and such a small cast of characters, unless the people behind this go balls to the walls crazy and introduce aliens and monsters later on, which they don’t. The fact that they don’t try to go crazy is quite ironic in an amusing way, as one of these characters would talk about the importance of making bold choices toward the end of the episode.

The predictability of the whole thing aside, this is an alright episode. Clark Duke and James Van Der Beek play one another off nicely, and the latter really chews the scenery like it’s a Subway sandwich and he’s the ham of the day. Poor Davie-Blue doesn’t have much to do, though, aside from wearing nice dresses and going topless.

This episode feels like a slight step backward after the previous episode, but it’s still early in the season, so I’m going to keep an open mind and see what else the show will come up with next.
