Margarita Day is a story of a woman torn between three hunky men. She feels that she can’t be with any of them even if she’s already had all three of them in the same night, if you know what I mean, so we have her going oh-what-to-do even as the three men try to change her mind with everything they have at their disposal. Jodi Matthews, you see, had an abusive father so she’s now worried that all men would turn out to be like her father. So who will she choose among Wiz, John, and Conner?

As Jodi spends quiet time with each men to determine which one is right for her, it becomes clear who she’s going to end up with, although she’s naturally the last to know about this. Unfortunately, her interactions with her true love are the most boring aspects of this story because the conflict between them is as clichéd as Jodi’s fear that her husband will turn out to be as abusive as her father. But the on the whole Jodi is a decent heroine who, barring a few clichéd aspects of her personality, is a smart and likable person.

Margarita Day however in general is too underwritten for my liking. From the first page to the last, I feel as if I’ve been abruptly thrust into the middle of a story and I am missing many pieces of the jigsaw puzzle. The men are forgettable because they are one-dimensional characters and the sex scenes in this story often take up space that could have gone to fleshing out the characters and their relationships with each other more fully. In its current length, it is lacking that sense of completion that I would get when I finish a well-developed story.
