Oh, so cute, Grogu decides to go back to Mandy to join the fight!

That’s right, Mandy and Grogu are back together, this time for good, but before they can go seek out more exciting adventures, they have to wrap up In the Name of Honor, the final episode of The Book of Boba Fett after being parachuted in to save the show from itself three episodes ago.

I’m not sure what happened, but I guessed the people behind this show realized on their own that the show wasn’t working with Bobo Foot, and decided to send an SOS to Mandy to come take over the show and hope people don’t notice that the show wasn’t supposed to be about him in the first place.

Not that it’s the fault of the cast itself, as Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen are fine. The scripts of the episode in which they had to shine on their own are the problem, as those episodes are lethargic and dull in spite of the tip top visuals.

Perhaps Mr Morrison’s character should have been some messianic figure that wants to unite the people of Tatooine. Then, the show would have been boring, instead of a boring kind of sacrilege against the legacy of a bad-ass that was swallowed up by a giant vagina monster.

Still, Bobo gets to make a big damned entrance here to save the day, a consolation prize after being relegated to the role of the geriatric bore all this while, so there’s that.

That’s right, everyone here gathers for a final showdown against the Pyke Syndicate over who gets to have the final say over the spice trade routes in Tatooine. Fennec, Mandy, Black Krrsantan, and even the Twi’lek Majordomo and Peli Motto get to have their own moments. There will be moments when all seems lost, only to have reinforcements showing up to turn the tides…

One thing that distracts me, though: no casualties on the good guys’ side. I mean, come on. Also, the uniform- and color-coded Tatooine Power Rangers continue to annoy me to no end.

It’s all exciting and woo-hoo, of course, but my biggest reaction to all of these is actually relief, because this season is finally over and I can finally forget about Bobo Foot and the missed opportunity that is this waste of time of a show. I’m glad I get to see Mandy and friends again, but honestly, they don’t need to be here, and if this show had been any better, it shouldn’t need them. Alas, it does need them, in order to become a completely different show as a desperate means of last minute course correction.

Oh well, moving on then. The Book of Boba Fett has come to its last page, and a sequel is not warranted or necessary. Let’s just end the whole dreary, plodding thing here, shall we?
