This is a fun story, but while it has a fabulous hero, there is also a disappointing heroine. The usual, really.

Bill Paxton’s directorial debut is slick, smart, thrilling, and maybe not as smart as it’d like to think it is.
There are some “Hmm…” moments here, but on the whole, this one works very well.
The author shows no signs of stopping. Wheee!
This is an old-fashioned fun story with silly characters running wild and doing ridiculous things.

It’s still a fun read, but so over the top cartoon at places that it’s like an adult cartoon at times.
The suspense is so good. The romance isn’t as good, unfortunately.
