Small Wonders by Marilyn Pappano
Thankfully, this has nothing to do with a robot girl.

Thankfully, this has nothing to do with a robot girl.

The heroine salvages much of the charm of this otherwise typical feel-good small town romance.

Damn it, STOP ENABLING ASSHOLES!

Deadbeat daddy is love, but the mother of his baby is a SLUT WHO MUST DIE. The double standards here are practically radioactive.

Not much love from me for the two stories here.

This is alright, but the tropes keep things a bit on the predictable side. The author’s “nice-ification” of the town slut heroine is also disappointing.

The end of the world can’t be this mundane, surely.

Don;t be fooled by the cover. This one can be a tough pill to swallow.
