Seven Minutes in Heaven by Eloisa James
This one is similar to the author’s previous book in that the relationship carries it to the finish line. Everything else is a bit of a muddle.

For a short story, this one has such sweet and adorable characters. The happy ending is a tough sell, though.
It’s like having two sane characters stuck in a Bugs Bunny cartoon.
The author commits the greatest authorial crime ever: she fails to make me care even a little about her story.
The first half is magical, while the second half is made of pure disappointment.
Still three hot authors, still one lukewarm book.
Eloisa James gets real about her own romance. Sort of.
The hero has first world problems, and that’s his excuse to act like a mean, cruel jackass. What a charmer.
Three hot authors… one lukewarm book.
This one is probably too cynical for its own good, as I find myself eventually somewhat rooting against the main characters.
