A Bewitching Bride by Elizabeth Thornton
This one isn’t as bewitching as much as it is bewildering.

The heroine is almost suicidal in her determination to be a martyr. Too bad she doesn’t get her wish.
Fun is running away from this book…
The romance is so dry, it may as well not be here. The rest is okay, but come on, this is a romance novel.
It’d do, but it could have done more.
The heroine is a mess and the plot is overcooked and unnecessarily convoluted. Still, I’m entertained for some reason.
Now, it’s the plot that is all over the place while the characters are the redeeming features.
This is almost a five-oogie baby.
Oh god, are there any intelligent heroines in the author’s books anymore?
Solid mystery, but is that the reason why we’d read a book by this author?
