Main cast: Elly Condron (Alexandria Stephens) and Christopher L Parson (Bill)

In Helping Hand, it appears that life in a space station is pretty simple. You don’t wear a bra, as Alexandra Stephens shows, and you also don’t need any tether when you go out to fix a satellite.
Hence, when she is hit by a stray screw—it’s a big screw, okay—and is sent drifting away from the station, with only 14 minutes of oxygen left… oh no!
I guess I should admire Alexandria’s resolution to stay alive, but whatever tension this episode may have is obliterated by this voice in my head constantly screeching about why she isn’t tethered in the first place.
Is that an oversight on Alexandria’s part, or one on the part of the screenwriter?
As it is, I can’t help feeling at the end of the day that our plucky lady deserves what she gets.
Really, why isn’t she tethered in the first place?
