Mr Bishop and the Actress by Janet Mullany
Oops, when the author has a bad day, it can be a pretty dire one.

This one is funny, which is a good thing as it doesn’t have much else going for it.
A boring Scot, haw haw haw.
Oh, a romance story with a well-portrayed courtesan!
This one is alright, but like most of the author’s books so far, an uneven read through and through.
Yet another tale of a self-loathing heroine with no impulse control. Yawn.
What happened to the author’s ability to plot?
A big cringe at the whiny douchebag hero.
Both the hero and the heroine need to be smacked with reality a few times to make them tolerable.
Beware: idiot plot and “noble cheating” ahead!
