Ooh, real emotions and drama! I like!
Ooh, real emotions and drama! I like!
Can it be true love when the hero lies to her from start to end?
Coincidences, annoying feisty heroines, hackneyed dialogues – yes, this is definitely someone’s first book.
This one has almost everything right. Almost. The whiny hero… ugh.
It’s a historical romance. Don’t worry, still the same trauma-as-plot protocol.
The author goes overboard with the hero’s cruelty and the heroine’s “understanding” nature. So here’s my one oogie to the two of them.
The heroine hates marriage but wants to have sex, and then spend the rest of the story screaming that she doesn’t want to marry. What a turd.
This is another refreshingly different story, but the actual execution is rather blah.
The story needs a lot more effort to work, effort that the author failed to muster.
The heroine is in need of psychiatric care. Or maybe putting down.
