Some books are good, some are bad. This one is just so average that I can’t get worked up to form any strong opinion about it.

This one is the epitome of a generic, formulaic Suzanne Brockmann-wannabe. Try not to yawn.

Jazz age glamor, clubs, the mob… but things never really take off here.

I’m probably the biggest softie when it comes to stories with dogs, but the author still succeeds in making me cringe all the way to the end.

This is easily the best book so far in the series, although this isn’t much considering how awful those other books are.

The villain steals the show, and he’s not even that good at being one.

The author’s tone and style end up working against her story. Shame, as this is quite the unique kind of paranormal romance.

Reading this one is like waiting for the world to end.

There are some issues with the suspense, but what the heck, the whole thing is one fun ride most of the time.

This is one of the sweetest romances I’ve read. It’s also one of the most disappointing romantic suspense thingies, but still, romance.
