Wolf Rain by Flesa Black
The author gets me hooked on a tired urban fantasy premise, in a short story to boot. Impressive.

It’s hilarious how unaware the heroine is and how she is often saved by the hero without herself realizing it,
I’m laughing because if I don’t, I will weep instead. The story has promise. but the author needs an overhaul in style and technique.
It’s alright, but the mate-mate-mate thing feels bland and played out.
The horny dragons are back and they want sexy times now.
Everyone is so animated and showy here, it’s distracting.
While not amazing, this one is a refreshing read because it lacks all the tired old clichés of urban fantasy these days.
Is the author even trying anymore? Mate! Mate! Mate!
This one is alright, but the heroine is nowhere as capable as she is said to be, and that’s distracting.
The story is too bland for its own good.
