The hero here has fidelity issues. Yes, that’s the red flag. How well you deal with that will determine your enjoyment of this one.
Things are going so well until the two main characters mutate into things that need killing.
The heroine is alright, but the rest of the story could use some more work done on them.

This is still one of the best romance novels I’ve ever read, even after all these years.

This is definitely a memorable debut effort, but it leans more closely to sadistic self-imposed martyrdom kind of stories than I’d have liked.
It is never a good sign when one’s first book is this absurd.
