Star of Wonder by Jo Beverley, Alice Alfonsi, Tess Farraday, and Kate Freiman
Spurts of blunder, more like.

Spurts of blunder, more like.

This one is as interesting as a dead fish. Just as fun too.

The hero is an ass and the heroine is a wimp. Fun.

Everything feels new and different here, with great results.

This one is ridiculous enough to be actually entertaining.

Even a few more rounds of rewriting can’t change the fact that the heroine is an annoying wretch.

This is a disappointing offering from an author who had proven that she could do so much better.

It’s a well-mannered bore only fans of traditional regency stories can love.

How can the author followed the excellent The Charm School with… this?

It’s easier to pretend to like this book in order to appear intellectual than to actually, well, like it.
