Even the most adorable canine sidekick cannot overcome the deadliest threats ever: slow, draggy pacing and nonexistent suspense.
Take out the dog and all that’s left is a pile of boring mediocrity.
Some books are good, some are bad. This one is just so average that I can’t get worked up to form any strong opinion about it.
I’m probably the biggest softie when it comes to stories with dogs, but the author still succeeds in making me cringe all the way to the end.
