Armored Core: Asset Management is based on Armored Core, another sci-fi game franchise that has mecha, explosions, pew-pew… are there no other games around that can be included here for some variety?
It has a star-studded cast, though. They even made the Pilot look like Keanu Reeves so that nobody will forget that they paid a lot of money to get him to grunt and say a few lines here and there in this episode.
Basically, the story is about the Pilot, who is not like other pilots because why not, and he goes on a mission where he spends a lot of time talking to some device with a female voice, stares dully ahead to suggest that he’s an introspective person, and the whole episode ends up being something that tries to appear profound but is just a short clip that doesn’t really tell anyone anything other than it’s pretty to look at.
In other words, Typical Secret Level Episode… what, #8? #9? Anyone keeping track?
If you’ve seen the last few episodes, you’ve seen this one already. The only question is just how big of a Keanu Reeves fan are you, that you have to see him in everything.
