I don’t know what to say about Carol Lynne’s Sonny’s Salvation because it’s a very short story that is pretty much just there, if you know what I mean.

It’s about Sonny Good who quit his FBI job to manage his late father’s ranch in the middle of Nebraska. He is openly gay but with things being the way they are, he doesn’t have much opportunity for a social life until he encounters bartender Garron Greeley. There is a very minor issue about Garron being the brother of the buffoon neighbor of Sonny whose cattle often find their way into Sonny’s land, but that’s about it. This story is pretty much a “two guys meet, they immediately have sex, they decide they’re in love, the end” affair; a story that can be read and forgotten within ten minutes or so.

It’s not bad, but with it being what it is, it’s also a forgettable very short story that can be read and done with before you know it.
