Mixed Genre Erotica, 2009
This anthology is a follow-up of sorts to Secret Thoughts: Erotique. In fact, the same authors minus Nix Winter in the previous anthology are back for more here. This anthology, however, is less interesting than the previous one in my opinion.
There isn’t much to say about this anthology other than the stories are very, very short. Each author contributes two stories, but most of them are straight-up sex scenes with very little build-up or even pretense of a storyline. The sex isn’t particularly memorable or imaginative either, although I get a laugh for the wrong reasons from Laura Bacchi’s elaborate gay gang-bang butt pirate story Man Ho.
Secret Thoughts: Lustful is probably worth a look if you need to read short sex scenes and your favorite free adult story websites are down at the moment because some local church groups have recruited a born-again hacker into their ranks. For its price, this anthology is not unreasonably expensive or anything, but the length of the stories and the lack of that special something in these stories to make them memorable despite their length don’t do it for me.
