Between Good and Aeval is a sequel to Go Between. This is a “real” sequel, by the way – same characters and all. You may want to read the review of the previous story to get the 101s if you haven’t read this story before. This one can stand alone, I think, because this one has a story that is not too connected to the previous story.

Not to spoil the previous story as well as this story, let me just say that Claire and Dale are kind of a couple. Kind of, really, because there are some rough bumps that need to be smoothened out. Meanwhile, a bunch of fairies are running around kidnapping husbands, and one of these husbands is married to Claire’s friend. Therefore, Claire and Dale find themselves hot on the case.

This story takes a path most unexpected towards the end and I really like how the author catches me off-guard like this even as she gives me a most entertaining story. I’m not sure about Claire’s proposed solution to all their problems, but still, I’m fine with it.The characters are still as adorable as ever and I like Claire a lot. She’s funny and smart. All in all, this is a well-paced and most entertaining short story.
