Some relatives from England are dropping by for a visit, and, alas for you, this is going to be bad news. Sure, Kip and Abbey, your cousins, are fun to have around for a week, but Uncle Will, a researcher on medieval stuff, brings along with him two suits of armor. One of them belongs to a “Dark and Evil Knight”. The armor is cursed, and worse, it starts screaming in the middle of the night! What are you going to do?

The Knight in Screaming Armor, as you can probably tell from the title, has some cringe-inducing bad puns to be enjoyed. Like all gamebooks in this series, there are two distinct branches of stories that you can take depending on your early choices in the adventure. The one involving a trip to the past to battle the evil Sorceress that laid the curse is interesting, while the other path that involves missing heads and keys and what not seem to be put together from random joke-like events in a disjointed manner.

It seems like Mr Stine rushed this one, cobbling together only half of a decent adventure, and therefore, it is appropriate that this one gets an average score. One good, one bad – it all averages out, after all.
